Chapie Return & Refund Policy

At Chapie, we want you to feel confident about every purchase. Whether you're placing a preorder, returning an item, using store credit, or managing a subscription, this policy is designed to clearly explain your options and responsibilities.


1. Pre-Shipment Cancellation Policy

This section applies to orders that have not yet shipped, including preorders, presale items, insulated containers, accessories, drinkware, and The Perfect Cooler.

  • You may cancel an order at any time before it ships for store credit.
  • If your preorder has not shipped within 15 days after the promised ship date listed below, you are eligible for a full refund to your original payment method.
  • You can update your shipping address at any time before shipment by emailing support@mychapie.com.

Preorder and presale shipping dates may change due to manufacturing, freight, customs, inventory, carrier delays, weather, supply chain issues, quality control, or other circumstances outside of Chapie’s control. Additional preorder terms may be provided in our Terms of Service.

2. Returns & Refunds After Delivery

Return Window

You may return eligible items within 30 days of delivery, subject to the condition requirements, product-specific exclusions, and hygiene rules below.

Refund Options

  • For eligible returns, you may choose either a refund to your original payment method or store credit.
  • Items must meet the condition standards below.
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the item is defective or the return is due to a fulfillment error.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to a defective item, fulfillment error, or otherwise required by law.

Personal Care Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, personal care items, including lip balm, cosmetics, skincare, lip scrubs, lip glosses, lip oils, and similar products, are final sale once opened, used, or removed from their original sealed packaging.

The condition grading table below does not apply to personal care items once they have been opened, used, or removed from their original sealed packaging.

Sizing Returns

We do not cover return shipping for sizing issues. Each product includes sizing guidance, and we strongly encourage reviewing all measurements, compatibility information, and product details before placing your order.

How to Start a Return

To begin a return, either:

We’ll provide return instructions. If the return is due to a defective item or fulfillment error, we may provide a prepaid return label. For other eligible returns, return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.

Once your return is received and inspected, your refund or store credit will be issued within 5–7 business days.

Condition Requirements for Refunds

Refund eligibility and refund amount are determined after inspection. We reserve the right to refuse a return or reduce the refund amount if the item does not meet the condition standards above, is missing components, was damaged after delivery, or does not qualify under this policy.

After 30 Days

Returns requested more than 30 days after delivery may be accepted at our discretion and are eligible for store credit only, based on the condition of the returned item.


3. One-Year Limited Warranty

All eligible Chapie products are covered by a 1-year limited warranty for manufacturing defects only. Covered defects may vary by product type.

What’s Covered

  • Peeling paint or coating caused by a manufacturing defect
  • Shell separation or structural failure caused by a manufacturing defect
  • Broken or defective zippers, buckles, straps, handles, hinges, lids, or closures, where applicable
  • Leaking seams or structural leaks caused by a manufacturing defect, where applicable
  • Workmanship defects that affect product function

What’s Not Covered

  • Wear and tear from normal use
  • Accidental damage, misuse, abuse, or improper storage
  • Heat damage, freezing damage, vehicle storage damage, or direct sunlight damage
  • Overloading beyond recommended use
  • Cosmetic issues that do not affect product performance
  • Damage caused by using the wrong product size or placing an incompatible item inside a Chapie product
  • Melting, softening, leaking, or damage to items stored inside a Chapie product
  • Damage to lip balm, cosmetics, skincare, medication, supplements, or other items stored inside a Chapie product
  • Personal care items, including lip balm, cosmetics, skincare, and similar products, once opened, used, or removed from their original sealed packaging

Product Performance Limitations

Chapie products are designed to help protect eligible lip balms, cosmetics, skincare products, and other compatible items from heat, mess, moisture, dirt, and everyday carry conditions. However, Chapie does not guarantee absolute protection in every situation.

Melting, softening, leaking, product damage, or performance changes may still occur based on factors such as the item stored, outside temperature, direct sunlight, heat exposure duration, vehicle conditions, storage method, and other environmental factors.

Chapie does not issue refunds solely because a lip balm, cosmetic, skincare product, medication, supplement, or other item melts, softens, leaks, becomes damaged, or loses effectiveness inside a Chapie product, unless otherwise required by law or stated in this policy.

Medication and Health-Related Items

Chapie products are consumer storage accessories and are not medical devices, pharmaceutical storage devices, temperature-controlled medical containers, or safety-critical storage products.

Customers who choose to use a Chapie product to store medication, supplements, medical products, or health-related items do so at their own discretion and risk. Customers should consult a healthcare provider, pharmacist, manufacturer, or other qualified medical professional before using a Chapie product for any medication or health-related storage purpose.

Chapie is not responsible for medication degradation, reduced effectiveness, spoilage, misuse, improper storage, injury, illness, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from the use of a Chapie product to store medications, supplements, medical products, or health-related items.

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

  1. Email support@mychapie.com with:
    • Your order number
    • A description of the issue
    • Photos showing the defect
  2. If your claim is approved, we’ll provide return instructions.
  3. If the product cannot be repaired or replaced, a refund or store credit may be issued at our discretion.
  4. This warranty is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

4. Recurring Subscriptions, VIP Memberships, and Credits

VIP Memberships

Chapie VIP memberships are billed at $4.99 per month unless otherwise stated.

VIP memberships are subject to the additional terms in our Terms of Service, Subscription Policy, and Purchase Options Cancellation Policy, including auto-renewal, cancellation, billing, minimum billing terms, benefit reconciliation, and account-management terms.

Active VIP members receive 25% off eligible full-price Chapie products and free standard shipping while their membership is active.

Eligible VIP benefits may be combined with each other, including VIP member pricing, free standard shipping, Member Credits, and store credits, unless otherwise stated.

VIP benefits cannot be combined with non-VIP promotional discounts, including email discount codes, sitewide discount codes, public discount codes, automatic promotional discounts, limited-time sales, influencer codes, affiliate codes, referral discounts, bundle discounts, free gift offers, shipping promotions, or other non-VIP promotional offers unless Chapie specifically states otherwise.

If a customer is eligible for both VIP benefits and a non-VIP promotional discount, Chapie may limit the customer to one promotional discount, apply the offer Chapie determines is most appropriate, or require the customer to choose one offer.

Chapie reserves the right to cancel, adjust, refuse, or correct any order where VIP benefits, discounts, credits, shipping offers, or promotions are combined in a way that was not intended, caused by a technical error, or violates this policy.

VIP Minimum Billing Term

Chapie VIP has a minimum billing term of three (3) monthly billing cycles when a member uses VIP benefits during the membership period.

VIP benefits include, but are not limited to, VIP member pricing, discounts, free standard shipping, Member Credits, store credits, access to VIP-only products, early access, exclusive drops, and other member-only benefits.

If no VIP benefits have been used, Chapie may allow immediate cancellation before the end of the minimum billing term.

If VIP benefits have been used and the minimum billing term has not been completed, canceling the membership will stop future auto-renewal after the minimum billing term is completed, unless Chapie approves an early termination option.

Early VIP Termination and Benefit Reconciliation

If a customer requests to end a VIP membership before completing the three (3) monthly billing cycle minimum, Chapie may offer an early termination option at its discretion.

Under the early termination option, Chapie may cancel the VIP membership immediately and refund VIP membership fees paid during the applicable membership period, provided that the customer reconciles the VIP benefits used during that period.

Benefit reconciliation may include repayment or deduction of the value of benefits used, including but not limited to:

  • Free standard shipping used on orders during the membership period
  • VIP discounts or member pricing received during the membership period
  • Member Credits or store credits issued or used as part of the VIP membership
  • Other VIP savings, promotional benefits, or member-only benefits used during the membership period

For free shipping reconciliation, Chapie may use the standard shipping value that would have applied to the order if the customer had not been a VIP member.

If a VIP-exclusive product was purchased during the membership period, Chapie may require the VIP-exclusive product to be returned in eligible condition before refunding VIP membership fees or completing early termination.

Chapie may issue an invoice or provide a written breakdown showing the membership fees, benefits used, and any reconciliation amount owed or deducted.

Early termination, benefit reconciliation, refunds, deductions, and return requirements are handled at Chapie’s discretion and to the fullest extent permitted by law.

VIP Refunds and Cancellation Timing

VIP membership fees are non-refundable once billed, except as specifically stated in this policy, our Terms of Service, Subscription Policy, Purchase Options Cancellation Policy, or as required by law.

We do not provide refunds, credits, or prorated refunds for partially used billing periods, unused benefits, or canceled memberships unless Chapie approves an early termination option or otherwise states in writing.

If a VIP membership is canceled after the minimum billing term has been completed, benefits remain active through the end of the current billing period.

Canceling a VIP membership does not automatically cancel orders placed while the membership was active. Order cancellations, returns, and refunds are governed by this Return & Refund Policy.

Store Credits and Member Credits

Store credits and Member Credits are treated as promotional account credits. They are not cash, gift cards, or banked funds.

Store credits and Member Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are not eligible for refunds, cash redemption, or exchange for cash.

Store credits and Member Credits may be used only toward eligible Chapie purchases, subject to the terms stated at the time the credit is issued.

Store credits and Member Credits may not be used to purchase additional VIP memberships, gift cards, or other excluded products unless Chapie specifically states otherwise.

Unused or expired store credits and Member Credits are not refundable. Store credits and Member Credits expire 12 months from the issue date unless otherwise stated.

Subscriptions

Subscription orders are non-refundable once processed or shipped.

If a subscription order has not yet entered processing, you may cancel, skip, or pause the shipment through your account before the processing cutoff.

Once processing begins, the order cannot be canceled or refunded.


5. Legal & Policy Updates

  • This policy is governed by the laws of Florida.
  • We reserve the right to update or revise this policy at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon being posted.
  • This policy works together with our Terms of Service, Product Disclaimer, Subscription Policy, Purchase Options Cancellation Policy, Privacy Policy, and any product-specific terms posted on our website.
